Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician in Perryville, MO. This full-time, on-site role requires basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures, blueprints, and fastening systems. A&P license is preferred, with overtime and weekend availability potentially necessary.

You will perform sheet metal operations, apply sealants, and assist in maintaining shop facilities and safety standards in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
• Prior experience with sheet metal in aircraft environment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand drawings.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Strong attention to safety and FAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform sheet metal operations: drilling, riveting, and cutting.
• Apply/remove sealants and finish materials.
• Maintain tools and workshop equipment.
• Navigate maintenance data bases and manuals.
• Follow FAA guidelines and safety rules.
