Job summary

Menzies Aviation in the United States is seeking a Ramp Agent to unload and load luggage, freight and cargo on and off aircraft, in outbound areas, and to operate small vehicles. The role requires heavy lifting and adherence to safety procedures.

You will read weight and balance manifests, work outdoors in all weather, pass pre-employment checks, and maintain security and TSA compliance. English fluency, a valid driver’s license, and flexible availability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is outdoor; comfortable in all weather conditions.
• Must obtain and maintain required Airports and Custom badges/seals.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load luggage, freight and cargo on and off aircraft in outbound bag room and baggage claim areas.
• Operate motorized equipment and small specialized commercial vehicles.
• Read and interpret weight/balance loading instructions and related labels and manifests.
• Maintain safe and secure work environment following safety policies.
• Follow TSA, airline, local and federal security mandates.
