Job summary

V2X, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional for aviation maintenance oversight. You will ensure QA programs meet NAMP standards, coordinate with government auditors, and drive continuous improvement in safety and quality.

The role requires 12+ years in aviation maintenance with QA leadership experience, DoD clearance readiness, and strong technical writing skills. You will work on site, with shifts including nights or weekends as needed, and travel for detachment support.

Qualifications

• Shall have minimum of 12 years in aviation maintenance with at least 5 years as a QA Representative.
• Experience in aviation safety management and reading technical publications, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and inspection findings.
• Must have knowledge to oversee overall quality of contractor maintenance per applicable instructions.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Recommend improvements to the Site Manager to enhance quality and safety of aviation maintenance.
• Develop QA programs and ensure adherence to Navy/NAMP standards and customer directives.
• Liaise with government personnel for audits as needed.
• Implement Special Emphasis Programs identified by the customer.
• Coordinate with production managers to meet quality objectives.
• Maintain and update technical publications control and jobs per work center needs.
• Define qualification requirements for QA reps and inspectors.
• Review requests and reports for accuracy before submission.
• Provide ongoing inspection techniques training.
• Monitor MDRs and reports to identify discrepancy trends and maintenance problems.
• Brief aircrew and pilots before/after post-maintenance flights and debrief issues to responsible personnel.
• Ensure applicable directives are implemented and maintained by the department.
• Develop NAMPSOPs and ensure compliance.
• Work day, night, or weekend shifts and travel as required.
• Provide technical guidance and instruction as needed.
• Perform daily duties related to this job and maintain safety and housekeeping.
• Assist in foreign object damage prevention walks.
• Comply with Hazardous Waste and general safety rules.
