Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking an Aviation Project Engineer to contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of aviation infrastructure projects.

The role involves collaborating with project managers, staff, clients, agencies, and subconsultants to deliver high-quality engineering solutions, with responsibilities potentially including leading design efforts and guiding developing engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PA or OH Professional Engineer license or eligible by reciprocity.
• 8 to 15 years of aviation engineering or airport design experience.
• Experience with airfield projects (apron, taxiway, runway) and FAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for aviation infrastructure projects.
• Prepare calculations, plans, specs, reports, and bid docs.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and subconsultants.
• Ensure project delivery within schedule, budget, and quality.
