Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks an Aviation Project Engineer to contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of aviation infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work with project managers, technical staff, clients, agencies, and subconsultants to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Based in Pittsburgh, the role requires commuting to the office and client sites three days a week, with opportunities to lead technical design efforts and mentor

Responsibilities

Support or lead design of aviation infrastructure projects, including airfield, landside and utilities.
Prepare engineering calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with project team members, clients, agencies, and subconsultants.
Participate in project planning, design development, interdisciplinary coordination, and quality-control activities.
Assist with evaluating alternatives and developing practical engineering solutions.
Manage assigned tasks and delivery of projects within schedules and budgets.
Attend client meetings and collaborate with stakeholders throughout project development.
Apply FAA standards, client requirements, and industry best practices in project design.
Support proposal preparation and project interview activities.
Participate in aviation industry organizations and professional development.
