Job summary

Stantec seeks a Civil Aviation Project Engineer to join the Infrastructure team in Florida. You will work on the development of plans and specifications for airside facilities such as runways, taxiways, and aprons, as well as landside roads, supporting safe, efficient airport infrastructure.

Based in Florida with potential offices in Tampa, Orlando, Coral Gables, Miami, West Palm Beach, this role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to FAA design standards,

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering required.
• P.E. license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 6+ years of airport infrastructure and transportation design experience.
• Strong knowledge of FAA design standards and specifications.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3-D and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and post-design efforts on aviation airport improvements (pavement, drainage, utilities).
• Coordinate and direct technical staff to deliver high-quality drawings.
• Review plans for conformance with scope and standards.
• Possibly review and seal own projects.
• Interact with Stantec clients to gather requirements.
• Develop and review FAA-compliant procedures and policies.
