Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Aviation Project Engineer to join the Infrastructure group in Florida. You will work on airport projects, including runways, taxiways, and landside infrastructure, in a highly collaborative environment.

Primary duties include design and post-design work, coordinating technical staff, reviewing plans for FAA compliance, and supporting client relationships. The position may be based in multiple Florida locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering/design of commercial and general aviation airport improvements.
• Thorough knowledge of FAA design standards.
• Knowledge of FAA/state airport funding processes.
• Proficiency in engineering design software including AutoCAD Civil 3-D and MS Office.
• Strong communication and teamwork; able to balance independent and collaborative work.
• Construction administration and field observation experience preferred.
• Oversees preparation of as-built plans.

Responsibilities

• Design and post-design efforts on aviation airport improvements (pavement, drainage, utilities).
• Coordinate and direct technical staff to produce high-quality deliverables.
• Review plans for conformance with scope and standards.
• May review and seal own projects.
• Interact with Stantec clients.
• Develop/review FAA-related policies and procedures; ensure FAA design compliance.
