Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Aviation Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Florida. You will work on airside facilities development (runways, taxiways, aprons) and landside road and site projects, collaborating with clients and engineers. This role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, Florida P.E.

(or eligible within 6 months), and 6+ years in airport infrastructure. You will coordinate design efforts, review FAA standards, and support project delivery from our Orlando/Tampa area

Qualifications

• 6+ years related experience in airport infrastructure and transportation design.
• Thorough knowledge of FAA design standards and specifications.
• Knowledge of FAA and state airport capital funding processes.
• Proficiency with engineering design and office software, including AutoCAD Civil 3-D and MS Office.
• Ability to balance independent and collaborative work.

Responsibilities

• Design and post-design efforts on aviation airport improvements, including pavement, drainage, utility, and landside/site projects.
• Coordinate and direct technical staff to develop high-quality deliverables.
• Review plans for conformance with scope of services and standards.
• May be responsible for review and sealing of own projects.
• Interact with Stantec clients and FAA design standards compliance.
