Job summary

Stantec in Florida is seeking a Civil Aviation Project Engineer to join the Infrastructure team. The candidate will lead design efforts for airside and landside aviation projects, coordinate a technical team, and ensure FAA-compliant designs.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Applicants should have a BS in Civil Engineering and a Florida PE or eligibility within six months, with 6+ years of related experience in airport infrastructure.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• P.E. license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 6+ years of airport infrastructure and transportation design experience.
• Strong knowledge of FAA design standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and problem solving; able to work in a collaborative environment.
• Construction administration and site observation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and post-design efforts on aviation projects including pavement, drainage, utilities, landside/site work.
• Coordinate and direct technical staff to deliver high-quality work.
• Review plans for conformance with scope and FAA standards.
• May review and seal own projects.
• Perform other duties of similar nature as assigned.
• Interact with Stantec clients.
• Develop or review policies and procedures for FAA design standards.
