Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. is seeking an Aviation Project Engineer to contribute to planning, design, and delivery of aviation infrastructure projects.

The role involves collaboration with project managers, technical staff, clients, agencies, and subconsultants to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions. Candidates should bring 8–15 years of aviation engineering experience, be able to commute to Pittsburgh area 3 days/week, and hold a PE license in PA or OH or reciprocity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license in PA or OH or ability to obtain via reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Support or lead design of aviation infrastructure projects (airfield, landside, utility, site development).
• Prepare engineering calculations, plans, specs, reports, cost estimates, bid documents.
• Coordinate with project team members, clients, agencies and subconsultants.
• Participate in planning, design development, coordination, constructability reviews, QA.
