Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a hands-on software engineer to implement features across an avionics platform. You will collaborate with senior engineers to align with architectural direction and grow depth in the system and domain.

You will contribute to certified embedded software running on aircraft hardware, with a focus on tests, deployment pipelines, and cross-functional integration across cabin platforms. This contract role emphasizes learning and mentorship in a demanding space.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design/architecture experience.
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++ or full OS to apps stack.
• BS in CS/EE/Embedded Systems or related field.
• Experience with full software development life cycle and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain features and modules for cabin network management and observability.
• Write production-quality software for certified embedded environments (DO-178C Level E).
• Contribute to the over-the-air software lifecycle pipeline and validation.
• Contribute to observability infrastructure and fleet data pipelines for ground-side monitoring.
• Follow architecture definitions and engage in design discussions with senior engineers.
• Write and execute DO-178C-aligned tests (unit, integration, requirements-based).
• Integrate software across cabin hardware platforms and hardware abstraction layers.
• Participate in code reviews and aviation-grade development practices.
