CS Group USA is seeking an Embedded Systems Expert to lead architecture and execution of safety-critical avionics software in DO-178C environments. The role requires designing from concept to certification, guiding verification and validation across multiple teams, and mentoring engineers.

Located in the United States with onsite, hybrid, or remote options. Candidates should have 12+ years in embedded software and strong leadership, with U.S. citizenship and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 12+ years of embedded software experience.
• Hands-on DO-178C certification program experience.
• Strong knowledge of RTES and RTOS.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
• U.S. citizenship required; travel 2–6 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end avionics software systems from concept through certification.
• Collaborate across systems, hardware, software, verification, and certification teams.
• Lead development of safety-critical embedded software in DO-178C compliance.
• Support certification audits and regulatory activities.
• Define and allocate system and software requirements.
• Design and implement RTES/RTOS-based platforms.
• Conduct architecture reviews, assessments, and trade studies.
• Drive requirements traceability, verification planning, and validation.
