Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I in Pensacola, FL. You will provide repair services on airframe and aeronautical components, following technical data to meet non-negotiable deadlines.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting aircraft systems, performing inspections, servicing, and documenting work performed. Requires two years’ experience, OSHA-safe practices, and the ability to obtain necessary clearances. Willingness to work shifts and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of Aircraft Mechanic experience.
• Able to obtain/maintain required licensing, certification, qualification, or clearance.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and use of common aircraft hand tools and special tools.
• Read, write, and understand English; comprehend technical data.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot, and replace aircraft system components using schematics and technical publications.
• Perform inspections (preflight, thru-flight, post-flight) and document maintenance.
• Order parts and supplies as needed; comply with safety, FOD, and tool-control programs.
• Perform servicing tasks, ground movement, and servicing of engines and airframe components as required.
