Job summary

Amentum seeks an Aircraft Mechanic II to maintain aircraft and systems, conduct inspections and tests, perform removals, replacements, and modifications, and troubleshoot discrepancies. You will apply technical knowledge to solve problems and document work thoroughly.

Responsibilities include engine and hydraulic system work, electrical and fuel system tasks, and supporting crew with safety and quality standards. Valid driver’s license and shift flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eight (8) years organizational aircraft maintenance experience.
• Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces aircraft mechanic courses and/or FAA A&P technical school preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Man or Crew Leader with adherence to manuals and directives.
• Maintain logs and document removal/repair of parts appropriately.
• Evaluate discrepancies and identify parts, materials, and tooling requirements.
• Perform engine, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and oxygen system maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and verify repairs on power plant systems and subsystems.
• Rig and adjust power controls, fuel selectors, and related components.
• Participate in safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
