Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II to perform maintenance, inspection, testing, and modification of aircraft and systems. You will apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot discrepancies and support team objectives in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with supervisors, maintaining documentation, and adhering to safety and quality standards while working across engine, hydraulics, wiring, and propulsion systems. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. Armed Forces aircraft mechanic courses and/or FAA A&P preferred.
• Eight (8) years organizational aircraft maintenance experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain required licensing/certifications for the position.
• Must be able to operate engine test equipment and vibration analysis equipment.
• Familiarity with aircraft systems, drawings, schematics, and safety requirements.
• Ability to work all assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, removal, repair, and modification of aircraft and systems per technical data and directives.
• Document parts and materials using the appropriate systems and keep stakeholders informed.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies by researching logs and historical data to identify repair methods.
• Maintain aircraft engines, hydraulics, electrical wiring, and power plant components.
• Assist training personnel and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
