Job summary

Air Methods in Olney, IL is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to maintain, repair, and inspect company-operated aircraft, ensuring compliance with FARs and company procedures. You will verify documentation, work within ERP RAMCO, and support 24/7 coverage as needed.

The role requires an FAA A&P license, a GED or high school diploma, and 2–5 years’ related experience with strong problem-solving and teamwork. Expect on-call rotations and travel up to 50% as part of Part 135 operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–5 years of related experience
• FAA A&P license in good standing
• RAMCO experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, repairs, and alterations of aircraft per FARs, ADs, SBs, and procedures
• Verifies part numbers and serials against documentation after installation or removal
• Ensures maintenance documentation compliance with regulations and manuals
• Participates in SMS continuous improvement activities and maintains a clean, safe work area
• Advises PIC of maintenance issues that could ground an aircraft
• Requests parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs
• Willing to travel 25–50% and work flexible hours including on-call rotations
