Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to perform inspections, repairs and alterations on company-operated aircraft. You will ensure compliance with FARs, manuals and Ramco for task time, while supporting lean and SMS initiatives.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred FAA A&P and IA credentials. Travel is limited, with on-call expectations and a tight, safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• 2 to 5 years’ related aircraft maintenance experience is required.
• Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred.
• FAR 145 operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components per procedures, directives, and regulations.
• Verifies part numbers and serial numbers match documentation during installation/removal.
• Ensures all maintenance documentation complies with FARs and manuals.
• Participates in Air Methods’ Safety Management System (SMS) and Lean improvements.
• Maintains a clean, professional work area.
• Mentors and trains less experienced mechanics.
• Identifies parts, tools, and supplies for non-routine discrepancies.
• Performs maintenance on 145 shop’s support equipment.
• Utilizes RAMCO to account for time on task.
