Job summary

Air Methods in Leesburg, FL is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations on company operated aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and internal procedures.

The role requires 2–5 years of maintenance experience, an FAA A&P license, and the ability to travel up to 50% for Part 135 operations. Proficiency with RAMCO ERP and MS Office is preferred; strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
2 to 5 years’ related aircraft maintenance experience is required.
Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred.
FAR 135 operations preferred.
FAA A&P license in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

Inspects and repairs aircraft and components per procedures, ADs, and FAA regulations.
Verifies part numbers and serial numbers against documentation after installation or removal.
Ensures maintenance documentation complies with regulations and manuals.
Participates in the Safety Management System (SMS) level 4 improvements.
Maintains a clean, professional work area and addresses safety/compliance issues.
Advises PIC of maintenance issues that could remove an aircraft from service.
Validates data in the Status Report for the aircraft worked on.
Requests parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
