Job summary

Metro Aviation, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, seeks a Hangar Based Helicopter Aviation Maintenance Technician (EC130) to ensure airworthiness in accordance with FAA regulations and Metro policies.

The role works closely with the AMT lead to manage aircraft status, downtime, and maintenance planning. Qualified candidates will hold an FAA A&P certificate, have at least 3 years turbine rotorcraft experience, and maintain strong knowledge of FARs and maintenance data.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills in maintenance operations.
• Sound judgment in decision-making and prioritization.
• Proficient in aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair.
• Strong knowledge of FARs, MAI GOM, and relevant data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aircraft in airworthy condition per 14 CFR, MAI GOM, and manufacturer data.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with Lead AMT considering downtime and parts availability.
• Communicate with pilots and clinical crew regarding aircraft condition.
• Keep field base up to company standards and maintain GSE.
• Own and manage assigned aircraft and related inventory and tooling.
• Ensure all required MAI and aircraft documents are up to date.
