Job summary

Textron Aviation offers a 10-week, 40-hour-per-week internship in Wichita, KS, designed for pursuing engineers to gain hands-on experience on real maintenance projects.

You will work with the Maintenance Engineering team, perform KPI reporting, cost estimates, capital project support, and root-cause analysis, while learning safety practices and industry standards. This program emphasizes mentorship, project exposure across campuses, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful improvements.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with mechanical/electrical devices and basic controllers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Textron Aviation Asset Management system for preventive maintenance and KPI reporting.
• Conduct equipment evaluations, develop cost estimates and schedules.
• Assist with capital projects within approved budgets.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants.
• Support root cause analysis and provide technical solutions.
• Assist energy conservation projects and maintenance improvements.
• Contribute to long-range equipment replacement and automation planning.
• Adhere to safety practices and regulatory requirements.
