Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. in Atlanta seeks a leader to head a 24/7 Engineering and Maintenance team supporting Line and Base Maintenance. You will coordinate with peer engineering leaders and internal groups, ensuring FAA compliance and TOPP adherence while driving repair support with OEMs.

This role involves irregular hours, weekend/overnight work as needed, and occasional travel to meet with partners across engineering and maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Leading a 24/7 team supporting the Line and Base Maintenance organization with engineering requests for aircraft at Delta's line and base maintenance stations.
• Maintaining compliance with FAA, DOT, OSHA and EPA regulations, foreign regulatory requirements and Delta's TOPP and all other engineering processes.
• Support and develop self-sufficiency regarding aircraft repair support, reducing dependency on OEMs like Boeing, Airbus, and Airbus Canada.
• Support and develop FAA delegations of Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) and Designated Engineering Representatives (DER) for internal repair approvals in compliance with FAA regulations.
• Supporting engineering working group meetings with partners throughout the organization.
• Supporting aircraft concessions with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
• Collaboration and communication with manufacturers and the FAA ACO and FSDO/CMO.
• 24/7 Operational Support requires Irregular shift hours, on occasion, due to critical requirements. This will include weekend and overnight work depending on criticality of the issue.
• Occasional travel is required to support the operation or meet with teammates and stakeholders
• Cross divisional stakeholder management with Line and Base Mainteance organizations
