Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a Senior Line Engineer to join the Tech Ops/ Maintenance - Management & Administrative team in Los Angeles. You will provide 24/7 engineering support, define maintenance criteria, evaluate regulatory requirements, and manage projects through FAA approvals as needed.

The role requires a mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering background with 5–8 years for Level I or 8+ years for Level II, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years with Senior Line Engineer I level, 8+ years for II level.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering documents and OEM data.
• Experience with regulatory compliance modifications and CFRs knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex solutions and implementation plans with cost/benefit analyses.
• Coordinate with operational groups to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
• Organize priorities and deliverables for projects and technical specifications revisions.
