Swissport in Des Plaines, IL seeks an HR Specialist to support the HR Manager/Generalist in daily functions across employee relations, performance, staffing, and records. You will help ensure legal compliance and administer compensation and benefits processes.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy, and collaboration with HR teams to deliver seamless services to employees across the station.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant HR experience; aviation experience is a bonus.
• Experience with HRIS systems and onboarding processes preferred.
• Must stay organized and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially for compliance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to daily HR emails promptly and professionally.
• Greet and assist employee walk-ins with a positive attitude.
• Oversee timely completion of the I-9 submission process.
• Enter and process HRIS form data (changes in position, rate, status, etc.).
• Facilitate badging, fingerprinting, and customs process for new hires.
• Maintain employee uniforms (order, administer, sort and sustain).
• Support general HR administrative functions as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
