Job summary

Swissport International is seeking a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of airport ground support equipment. No aviation experience is required, and we provide airport-specific training.

The role pays $22.00–$38.00 per hour, with full-time benefits including health, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, sick time, and company holidays. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and strong mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Trade school training or equivalent mechanical background preferred.
• Good communication and computer skills are required.
• Willingness to travel for training or station support.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive all types of GSE equipment, both motorized and non-motorized.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedules on ground support equipment.
• Diagnose faults and repair ground support equipment as needed.
• Be willing to learn hydraulic systems and undergo deicing training.
• Work outdoors year-round and respond to emergencies or weather events.
