Job summary

Swissport in Atlanta is seeking a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of airport support vehicles and equipment. No aviation experience is required; we provide training on airport systems.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Trade school training or mechanical background preferred.
• Good oral and written communication and computer skills.
• Willing to travel for training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive GSE equipment, motorized and non‑motorized.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedules on all ground support equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments of GSE.
• Learn hydraulic systems; basic hydraulic knowledge required.
• Respond to weather-related emergencies and overtime when needed.
• Work outside in all weather conditions year‑round.
• Document all maintenance and repairs per company and airport rules.
• Maintain a safe workshop and report deficiencies.
