Job summary

Swissport seeks a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of airport support vehicles and equipment. No aviation experience is required; training will be provided on airport-specific equipment and systems.

The pay rate ranges from $22.00 to $38.00 per hour, with benefits for full-time employees. Expect to operate GSE equipment, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and document all work.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license required.
• Trade school training or mechanical background preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to travel for training or GSE support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive all types of GSE equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedules on ground support equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostics as required.
• Work outside in all weather conditions year-round.
• Maintain accurate maintenance/repair documentation.
