Job summary
Swissport is seeking a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of airport ground support equipment. No aviation experience required; training provided on airport-specific systems.
The role pays $26.00-$36.00/hour with full-time benefits including health, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, sick time, and holidays. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for training or station support are required.
Qualifications
- Operates and drives ground service equipment (GSE).
- Performs preventive maintenance per schedules on GSE equipment.
- Provides troubleshooting and diagnostic assessment of ground support equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive all types of ground service equipment – motorized and non-motorized.
- Perform preventive maintenance per established schedules on all ground support equipment.
- Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessment of ground support equipment as required.
- Hydraulic knowledge or basics; willing to learn hydraulic systems.
- Airport deicing training will be required; overtime during weather emergencies.
