Job summary

Swissport International AG in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of airport support vehicles and equipment. No aviation experience required; training provided.

The role offers hourly pay of $27.00–$42.00, full-time benefits including 401(k) with company match, health, dental, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Trade school training or mechanical background preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Willing to clean and maintain a safe workshop.
• Willing to travel for training or to assist other SP stations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive all types of GSE equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on ground support equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessment.
• Learn hydraulic systems as needed.
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance/repair as required.
• Respond to emergency service calls and incidents.
• Ensure GSE is safe and within compliance before return to service.
