Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Denver is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead commercial design-build programs for aviation and federal clients, guiding EPC efforts from concept through warranty with a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

You will direct field teams, build client relationships, manage risk and procurement, and coordinate with engineering to deliver high-profile projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of relevant project management experience in construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software.
• Ability to meet company's driving requirements.
• Experience on aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, or related sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and promote safety performance of project teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and multiple projects.
• Provide direction in planning, scheduling, estimating, and cost development.
• Develop and manage client relationships and interface with clients on proposals and projects.
• Participate in risk reviews and consult with Legal as required.
• Negotiate contracts and change orders.
• Implement sections of the Project Execution Plan and procurement plan.
• Develop staffing plans and coordinate multi-discipline activities.
• Oversee site layout, mobilization, and site demobilization plans.
• Verify permits and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Lead RFP and subcontractor bid processes and scope development.
• Review reports including budgeting, cash flow, and status reports.
• Collaborate with engineering on deliverables and schedules.
• Manage contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change management, closeout.
