Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Project Manager to oversee design/build projects from concept to closeout. You will coordinate multi-discipline teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure environmental, safety and QA/QC compliance.

You will lead client communications, support risk reviews, and drive proposals, contracts, and procurement efforts. Strong MS Office and project management skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 7+ years of related experience in design engineering, including 3+ years in project leadership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and lead.
• Experience with contract terms negotiation and cost control.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of multi-discipline design/build projects from concept to closeout.
• Develop and monitor schedules, manage scope and control costs.
• Serve as primary client contact for coordination, planning and budget.
• Lead risk reviews and consult with Legal Department as required.
• Provide project cost forecasts and accruals to leadership.
• Establish project teams and ensure efficient utilization of staff.
• Oversee project communications and documentation control.
• Identify opportunities for submittals, proposals and negotiations.
• Develop client relationships and seek repeat business.
• Mentor team members and provide performance feedback.
• Implement project policies, controls and execution plan.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance and client satisfaction.
• Report progress, costs, schedules, procurement issues and risks.
• Execute contracts and manage subcontract and equipment procurement.
• All other duties as assigned.
