Job summary

FTAI Aviation Ltd. in Miami seeks a Detail Inspector to conduct inspections per manufacturer instructions and airworthiness standards. You will perform preliminary hidden-damage checks and work on engine components in a shop environment.

You will follow approved service bulletins and directives, maintain thorough records, and coordinate with technicians to ensure return-to-service readiness. Strong attention to detail and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Hold an airframe and/or powerplant license.
  • Must possess exceptional attention to detail.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
  • Proficiency with hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to isolate failures and perform full rework of parts.
  • Work to company quality standards.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be fluent in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize with inspection methods and tools in assigned area.
  • Maintain proficiency with inspection aids and calibration information.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are in proper working order and calibration is affixed.
  • Understand current specs for inspection tolerances per manufacturer and communicate in English.
  • Ensure inspections are recorded and approved before return to service.
  • Disassemble and repair aircraft engine usable parts.
  • Assist reconfiguration or reconditioning of equipment.
  • Perform scripted test procedures to isolate failures.
  • Perform scripted repair procedures and test parts.
  • Assist Repair Technicians/Engineers/Technical Services as required.
  • Maintain inventory control practices and procedures.
  • Interpret OEM manuals and routers instructions.
