Job summary

FTAI Aviation Ltd. in Miami, FL, seeks an Inspector, Detail (2nd Shift) to perform preliminary hidden-damage inspections and final inspections under FAA-approved data and service bulletins. The shift runs 2:30pm-11:00pm, with emphasis on tool proficiency and strict quality adherence.

A valid airframe/powerplant license is preferred. Responsibilities include disassembly and repair of engine parts, documentation, and collaboration with Repair Technicians and Engineers.

Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • Hold an airframe and/or powerplant license.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
  • Proficient with hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Legal to work in the U.S.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Familiar with inspection methods and tools used in assigned area.
  • Maintain proficiency with inspection aids and ensure calibration info is attached.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are in proper working order and calibrated.
  • Understand specifications involving tolerances and manufacturer data.
  • Ensure inspections are performed and records documented before return to service.
  • Disassemble and repair aircraft engine parts.
  • Assist reconfiguration or reconditioning of equipment.
  • Perform scripted test procedures to isolate failures to sub-assembly level.
  • Perform scripted repairs and test function of parts.
  • Assist Repair Technicians/Engineers/Technical Services as required.
  • Maintain inventory control practices.
  • Interpret OEM manuals and router instructions.
