Job summary

FTAI Aviation Ltd. in Miami is seeking a Lead Detail Inspector to oversee the Detail Inspection team, perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, final inspections, and support return-to-service on civil aviation articles.

You will audit inspection paperwork, train inspectors, lead root cause analysis for nonconformances, coordinate with Records Dept, and ensure compliance with FAA and manufacturer data in a fast-paced repair station environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used in aircraft jet engine maintenance.
• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate inspections of maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration of aircraft or components.
• Audit inspection paperwork for completeness and compliance; deliver finalized documents.
• Train new and current inspectors on inspection tasks and record discrepancies.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis for nonconformances and audit corrective actions.
• Coordinate receiving inspection of incoming parts, materials, and tooling to required standards.
