Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent and basic computer skills.
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant license.
  • 3–5 years experience in a lead role for aircraft jet engine maintenance.
  • Experienced with borescope inspection and interpretation of technical data.
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements that govern aircraft jet engine maintenance.
  • Must be able to communicate inspection priorities clearly.
  • Must read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing per FAA/DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly familiar with inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools and equipment.
  • Maintain proficiency and calibration of inspection aids.
  • Ensure inspections are properly performed and recorded before return to service.
  • Disassembly and repair of aircraft engine usable parts.
  • Assist with reconfiguration or reconditioning of equipment.
  • Perform scripted test procedures to isolate failures.
  • Replace failed sub-assemblies to restore functionality.
  • Assist Repair technicians/Engineers/Technical Services as required.
  • Maintain inventory control practices and procedures.
  • Interpret OEM manuals and routing instructions.
