Job summary

University of California, Berkeley is seeking an AV Systems Operations Specialist to support daily operation, reliability, and enhancement of audiovisual and unified communications systems across instructional and event spaces at the Main Campus in Berkeley.

Reporting to Facilities leadership, you will troubleshoot, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to Zoom Rooms, AV‑over‑IP, livestreaming workflows, and production environments in a fast-paced academic setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise AV, UC, classroom technology, or production technology environments.
• Strong operational troubleshooting experience with Crestron, Zoom Rooms, AV-over-IP, DSP platforms, and hybrid collaboration technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/3 operational and technical support for classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, and event spaces.
• Troubleshoot and support issues involving Crestron‑controlled environments, DM‑NVX, AV-over‑IP, Zoom Rooms, and UC hardware.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and room documentation to improve operational workflows.
