Job summary

The University of California, Berkeley's Broadcast Operations seeks an AV IT Engineer 4 to manage live event production for ACC Network, ESPN, and campus streams. You’ll ensure all broadcast equipment operates reliably, set up systems, and support staff at Bishop Ranch and Cal Studios.

You will design signal paths, maintain REMI workflows, configure control rooms, and collaborate with vendors, IT, and facilities to modernize campus broadcasting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience leading AV projects from scope to installation.
  • Knowledge of broadcast control room engineering and maintenance.
  • Ability to test and operate installed AV IT equipment.
  • Familiarity with NCAA/ACC expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical execution and engineering support for live broadcasts, streams, studio productions, and videoboard shows.
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot end-to-end signal paths and REMI workflows.
  • Configure, operate, and maintain production control room systems and AV IT infrastructure.
  • Administer campus-wide RTS communications infrastructure and coordinate with vendors and facilities.
