Job summary

The Guardian US is seeking a Multimedia Systems Engineer Lead to own AV and studio systems across NYC, DC, and LA. This hands-on technical lead role balances endpoint support, hardware deployment, and live event production under the IT Director (US).

You'll standardize systems, manage conference rooms and podcast/live studio infrastructure, and create SOPs to scale Guardian US multimedia operations with reliability and growth.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on experience supporting AV infrastructure, IT endpoints, or broadcast systems within corporate or media environments.
• Experience configuring enterprise video conferencing ecosystems (Cisco Webex Control Hub integrated with Zoom and Google Meet).
• Production equipment familiarity: digital audio consoles, video cameras, studio lighting, field recording gear.
• Proven track record using IT service desks, managing endpoint patch software updates, and hardware inventories.
• Hands-on experience running live event AV, streaming, or live broadcast.
• Proficiency across macOS and Windows in a hybrid production/enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Standardize, configure, and maintain AV hardware, room panels, newsroom displays, and digital signage across US offices (NYC, DC, LA).
• Manage and optimize podcast studio infrastructure, broadcast workflows, and field production kits for remote reporters.
• Serve as the single point of contact for AV IT tickets, endpoint management, network integrations, and troubleshooting.
• Execute live audio/visual for All-Hands meetings and special events, ensuring reliability and quality.
• Develop SOPs, system health metrics, and roadmap plans with the IT Director (US).
