Job summary

TCWGlobal is seeking a Studios Systems Engineer/Technician in Los Angeles (DTLA & Hollywood) to provide hands-on support across its LA studios. The role blends broadcast/studio tech, AV systems, networking, and systems administration, including installations, maintenance, and day-to-day technical coverage.

The ideal candidate has broadcast/live production experience and can troubleshoot SDI/NDI, TCP/IP, Linux/macOS, and cloud media workflows (AWS).

Qualifications

2- to 5-years experience in broadcast engineering or related media technology.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot studio, broadcast, AV, and production systems.
Troubleshoot SDI video systems, NDI, signal routing, patching, and related studio infrastructure.
Support TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, multicast, and network connectivity.
Troubleshoot Linux and macOS systems, including SSH, CLI, and log analysis.
Support live production, streaming, podcast, and soundstage tech.
Assist with encoders, servers, routers, switches, and other production equipment.
Troubleshoot issues quickly during live or time-sensitive production.
Support media workflows involving SRT, RTMP/RIST and AWS cloud platforms.
Provide coverage when senior engineer is traveling or unavailable.
Collaborate with production, IT, engineering, and studio teams to resolve issues.
