Job summary

American Sound is seeking an AV Service Technician for our Atlanta team to troubleshoot and recommission enterprise AV systems, including audio DSP and classroom setups. You will work on venues ranging from campuses to houses of worship, with travel as needed.

The role requires deep AV knowledge, line-drawing interpretation, and the ability to update DSP configurations while delivering excellent customer service. A company van and tools are provided for site visits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years and deep knowledge of AV systems.
• CTS certification preferred.
• Experience reading line drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with DSP and AV configuration files.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with ladders.

Responsibilities

• Remounting monitors, speakers, and microphones.
• Loading DSP files to hardware and networked devices.
• Supporting Remote Monitoring tools like Utelogy, XiO, and Reflect.
• Ticket and RMA management.
• Updating drawings and providing end-user training.
• System recommissioning and project-related travel as needed.
• Tools and a van are provided.

Job description

We are searching for an AV Service Technician to join our growing Atlanta team. The AV Service Technician is responsible for the trouble shooting and recommissioning of small to large scale AV systems. The typical issues are Enterprise AV systems with audio DSP but may also include small large scale complex systems including higher education classrooms, campus technology, auditoriums, divisible conference spaces, command/control centers, stadiums, and houses of worship.

Job Responsibilities

• Remounting monitors, speakers, and microphones
• Loading programing and DSP files to hardware and networked devices
• Assisting with setup and support of Remote Monitoring tools like Utelogy, XiO, and Reflect
• Ticket & RMA management
• Updating and providing feedback for as built drawings
• System recommissioning and end user training
• Some travel required depending on project and skillset
• Tools and van provided

Job Requirements

• 5+ years and deep knowledge of AV systems
• CTS preferred
• Experience reading line drawings
• Component level experience with AV/UC manufacturers including Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, AMX, Logi, Cisco, Poly, etc.
• Updating DSP and AV configuration files
• Great customer skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and communication
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and use a ladder

Job Compensation and Details

• Pay- $35-40/hr with potential bonus at year end
• Shift Time and Days- Day shift, M-F
