Job summary

Avidex, a leading AV/IT integration company, seeks an Audiovisual Technician II in Atlanta, GA. You will install, test, and maintain audio-visual systems for meetings, events, and digital communications, ensuring professional environments for end users.

You will work from project drawings, coordinate with the Foreman, and perform wire pulls, terminations, and configuration of 70V PA, RF/TV distribution, and digital signage while adhering to safety standards and quality processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years AV/IT technical support or field engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience commissioning and troubleshooting AV systems.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Apple operating systems.
  • Experience configuring audio, video, and conferencing systems.
  • Knowledge of control systems, DSPs, and AV networking.
  • Familiarity with IP/RS232/RS485/USB protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and system designs.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Install AV equipment including speakers, displays, projectors, screens, and related hardware.
  • Perform wire pulls, terminations, equipment mounting, and system assembly per project documentation.
  • Support setup and configuration of 70V PA systems, RF/TV distribution, and digital signage.
  • Test systems after installation to confirm performance and functionality.
  • Perform diagnostics, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Read and interpret project drawings, scopes of work, and work orders.
  • Maintain and mark up record set drawings to reflect field changes.
  • Communicate job progress, changes, and issues to the Foreman or Project Manager.
  • Protect equipment, materials, and interior finishes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Gather equipment manuals and close-out materials at job completion.
  • Attend jobsite coordination and safety meetings as required.
  • Support overall project completion in alignment with schedules and quality standards.
  • Participate in training and maintain required certifications.

What We’re Looking For
