Job description

Responsibilities

Installing, troubleshooting, service, repair, and support to customers. Provide technical expertise required to keep AV programs and systems, and multimedia systems operational.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and service audio visual related infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
• Read and comprehend AV systems drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot various AV systems.
• Provide phone support to clients and other technicians.
• Create estimates and proposals for small AV jobs.
• Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain a stable client-based system.
• From the field, install control programs (AMX/Crestron/Firmware) - upload and download capability.
• Provide end‑user client training as needed.
• Perform service tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner.
• Interact with clients in a professional, customer service‑oriented manner.
• Travel to various job sites as required.

Required Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in commercial audio‑visual system integration and maintenance in a service department environment.
• Familiarity with major commercial AV equipment (Crestron, JBL, Shure, Extron, Biamp, Barco, etc.).
• Prefer certifications from InfoComm (CTS) and certifications from manufacturers such as AMX, Crestron, Extron, Cisco, Polycom, Biamp and/or others are a strong plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a required background check and pre‑employment drug screening.
