Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the technical delivery of AV integration projects. You will review projects, finalize BOMs, drawings, and infrastructure requirements, and coordinate network needs for installation and commissioning.

You will guide project teams, provide engineering updates to the Project Manager, and ensure alignment with project goals, scope, and customer expectations. Travel to job sites is required as needed.

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance coverage.
• Advanced computer skills for designing, configuring, and operating AV equipment.
• Experience with DSP system programming and control system troubleshooting (AMX/Crestron/Q-SYS).
• Familiarity with AV control programming concepts and test plans.

Responsibilities

• Design Finalization and review of SOW/contract to validate quality and feasibility.
• Create engineering documents with CAD team (infrastructure drawings, floor plans, elevations).
• Generate cable pull sheets and coordinate network requirements.
• Perform heat/power calculations and assess structural needs.
• Finalize Bill of Materials after design is complete and approved.
• Provide engineering documents for submittal packages to Project Manager.
• Monitor project budgets with Operations and identify personnel needs.
• Collaborate with commissioning and programming teams on checklists and field documentation.
