Job summary

Nuro is seeking a Shift Supervisor for its In-Vehicle Team to build and lead a high-performing operator group. You will oversee hiring, onboarding, development, and performance management, ensuring alignment with company metrics and safety standards.

You will manage start/end shift operations, coordinate with planning on training and feature rollouts, and drive continuous improvement across locations. A fast-paced, collaborative environment awaits with opportunities in robotics and AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience managing teams of 10+ direct reports.
• Strong leadership with ownership of team work.
• Understanding of US labor and employment laws.
• Ability to analyze data and extract actionable insights.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work nights, evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Hire and onboard operators; collaborate with L&D to develop interview/onboarding processes.
• Lead a team of ~20 operators; provide coaching and development.
• Conduct performance reviews aligned with metrics and adjust as needed.
• Oversee Start of Shift and End of Shift activities including attendance and data imports.
• Coordinate with planning on training and feature rollouts.
• Monitor plan vs. actual performance weekly and identify action items.
• Drive cross-functional continuous improvement and standardization across locations.
