Job summary

Nuro is hiring a HR Business Partner to support our Autonomous Vehicle Operator org as we scale a large hourly workforce. You will handle employee relations, guidance for frontline managers, and frontline HR support across shifts, including overnight operations, focusing on safety, fairness, and faster issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 4+ years HRBP or HR Generalist experience in hourly/operational settings.
• High-volume employee relations experience including investigations.
• Onsite, shift-based work with potential overnight support.
• Strong empathy, fairness and business judgment in fast-paced environments.
• Solid knowledge of California employment law for non-exempt staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day HR partner for Operations workforce across shifts.
• Handle employee relations matters, attendance, conflicts, and investigations.
• Support safety escalations, documentation, and next steps.
• Guide frontline supervisors on documentation, coaching, and routine HR matters.
• Assist with onboarding touchpoints, workplace support, and shift communications.
• Surface patterns across teams to flag safety, performance, or engagement signals.
• Collaborate with Workplace, Safety, Legal, and People Ops for a consistent experience.
• Partner with Talent Management on performance programs and manager enablement.
