Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize transportation for assigned regions in the United States. You will coordinate shipments of AV equipment, book carriers, track status, and ensure on-time delivery while controlling costs.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work with purchasing, sales, finance, and project teams. Experience with DOT/FMCSA/TSA rules and logistics software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of transportation/logistics coordination experience in high tech/high value freight.
• Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, TSA regulations.
• Proficiency with logistics management software and ERP/TMS/WMS tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end daily inbound/outbound logistics operations for AV equipment, including transportation modes and tracking.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and technical support to understand client shipment requirements.
• Prepare delivery schedules and optimize routing for on-time delivery with approved carriers.
• Verify shipment details (pieces, weight, dimensions) and handle BOL entry or vendor booking as needed.
• Maintain ETAs, communicate changes to sites, and manage exceptions.
• Be an escalation point for vendors and customers, documenting issues in real time.
• Audit invoices with correct GL coding and ensure PODs are available.
• Maintain documents and records (BOLs, PODs, photos) per procedures.
• Identify areas for process improvements and stay current on industry trends.
