Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Import/Export Specialist to manage end-to-end international logistics for US and Canada locations, ensuring timely customs clearance and accurate documentation. You will coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize costs and efficiency, resolving exceptions as needed.

The role requires experience in international transportation, compliance with DOT/FMC and TSA regulations, and strong organizational skills to handle and document

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field.
• 3+ years in international transportation/logistics coordination.
• Experience coordinating US and Canada imports/exports.
• Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA and TSA regulations.
• Proficiency with logistics software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end international inbound/outbound logistics for US/Canada, using approved partners.
• Plan and coordinate shipments with internal teams and vendors.
• Prepare and review import/export documentation to avoid delays.
• Tender and book shipments via TMS and portals; verify shipment details.
• Track shipments and keep stakeholders updated on costs and status.
• Resolve customs holds and document discrepancies with carriers and brokers.
