Job summary

Kardex Solutions LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support AutoStore installations and customers. This role focuses on on-site and remote troubleshooting, commissioning, and training to ensure high system availability and customer satisfaction across sites.

Applicants should have a technical background in automation or intralogistics, strong communication skills, and be comfortable traveling 60–70% of the time. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Technical background in automation, electromechanical systems, robotics, or intralogistics (preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer communication and service mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
• Experience with commissioning, maintenance, or service engineering is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Customer site support — Maintain active customer sites to ensure system availability and stability.
• System commissioning — Perform commissioning and testing of AutoStore hardware and software before handover.
• Troubleshooting events — Handle customer support issues via remote tickets and on-site troubleshooting.
• Documentation creation — Produce detailed SOPs and resolution method documents.
• Customer training — Deliver initial and ongoing training for end users and maintenance teams.
• Ramp-up support — Assist customers during post-handover ramp-up Phase of new projects.
• Travel requirements — Travel to project sites for trips of about a week; total travel 60–70%.
