Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Vehicle Operator Specialist in Miami to lead training for vehicle operators, oversee on-shift operations, and drive prototype test vehicles across varied conditions. You will coordinate pre/post-trip tasks, data offload, and shift handovers while coaching operators to uphold high safety and testing standards.

Responsibilities include mentoring peers, logging test results, and escalating issues to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years driving or AV testing experience with coaching/mentoring.
• Strong communication skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Willing to travel up to 20% and work overtime or non-standard shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead training, coaching, and mentorship for vehicle operators on shift.
• Oversee pre-trip/post-trip checks, data offloading, and vehicle prep.
• Drive prototypes on roads/track in autonomous, semi-autonomous, and manual modes.
• Log tests, report issues, and escalate to engineering with concise tickets.
• Maintain site readiness, safety, and compliance during testing.
