Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Field Solutions Engineer, Hivemind to support technical sales and customer engagements for the Hivemind autonomy solution. You will translate customer needs into credible solution concepts and work on RFIs, RFPs, and white papers.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage with defense and security customers across varied environments. Travel for customer engagements is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in solutions engineering, field applications engineering, or related technical sales roles.
• Strong understanding of autonomy, AI-enabled systems, and unmanned platforms.
• Experience supporting customer-facing engagements (demos, briefings, RFIs/RFPs).
• Ability to translate mission needs into credible R&D/solution concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with BD, PM, Eng, and Program teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer-facing technical expert for Hivemind autonomy solutions.
• Support customer discovery, technical briefings, demonstrations, and capture activities.
• Translate customer mission needs into credible Hivemind solution concepts.
• Collaborate with BD and Capture teams on RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and white papers.
• Explain capabilities, limitations, and roadmap timing to various audiences.
• Develop and maintain technical sales assets and briefing materials.
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Program teams to represent customer requirements.
