Shield AI is seeking a Field Solutions Engineer, Hivemind to support technical sales, customer engagements, demonstrations, and capture activities for Hivemind, Shield AI’s autonomy solution for unmanned systems.

The role acts as a customer-facing technical expert, helping defense and security customers understand how autonomy can solve operational problems, improve mission outcomes, and integrate into current and future force structures. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in solutions engineering or related customer-facing roles.
• Strong technical understanding of autonomy, AI-enabled systems, and defense software.
• Experience supporting demos, briefings, RFIs/RFPs, and technical proposals.
• Ability to translate mission needs into feasible solution concepts and requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with BD, Product, Engineering, and Program teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel for customer engagements and events.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer-facing technical expert for Hivemind autonomy solutions in markets.
• Support customer discovery, technical briefings, demonstrations, and capture activities.
• Translate customer mission needs into credible Hivemind concepts and requirements.
• Collaborate with BD and Capture teams on RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and demos.
• Explain capabilities, roadmap timing, and integration requirements to diverse audiences.
• Develop and maintain technical sales assets and briefing materials.
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Program teams to reflect customer feedback.
• Help customers evaluate autonomy for mission effectiveness.
• Maintain product truth in materials and discussions about limitations.
• Monitor autonomy and defense tech developments to inform conversations.
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and internal partners.
• Operate independently across complex engagements while keeping stakeholders aligned.
